Deeper guides on the most-read experiments
- Added worked UK examples, a ‘what people get wrong’ check and answers to common questions on 13 of the most-read experiments, including time spent sleeping, time spent working, a four-day week, flying humans and breathing underwater.
- Added more UK sources to those pages, including NHS, ONS, GOV.UK and NASA material.

Fewer, fuller pages
- Merged four small savings pages (£5 a day, £100 a month, spare £10 notes and £1 coins) into one savings experiment with a daily, weekly or monthly switch and presets for each.
- Merged ‘stop buying takeaways’ into the coffee money experiment, which now has takeaway and meal-deal presets.
- Merged ‘lose an hour a day’ and ‘reclaim 30 minutes’ into the extra hour experiment, which now counts time gained or lost.
- Merged television time into the phone time experiment, which now covers phone, TV or both.
- Moved the Weird & Wonderful experiments into Science and World. Old links redirect to the new pages.

Clearer policies, visible sources and dates
- Rewrote the privacy policy to explain advertising (Google AdSense), analytics (Google Analytics 4), cookies and your choices in full.
- Rewrote the About, Contact and Terms pages. IfSketch is published by Aivora Digital.
- Every experiment now shows its sources and assumptions in full, and the ‘How we calculated this’ sections use plain-English formulas.
- Added a ‘Last updated’ date to every page.
Short answers above the calculators
- Added a one-line answer above the calculator on six experiments: train vs driving, a four-day week, time spent working, weekends, a world without sleep and stopping time. Several page titles and descriptions were made clearer.
- Linked the train vs driving experiment to related travel pages.
Cookie choices
- Added a cookie banner so you can accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies, and a ‘Cookie settings’ link in the footer to change your mind later.
Common questions on the sleep experiment
- Added answers to common questions, such as what share of life is spent asleep, to the time spent sleeping experiment.

- Launched with 50 interactive what-if experiments across World, Science, Your Life, Money and Everyday, each with its method, assumptions and sources.
